A day at the beach

Today was a wonderful afternoon at the beach. My husband's company hosted a beach party and barbeque. It was Mr. Pickles goal to eat as many snow cones as he could; he managed to consume 3 total and was he a happy camper! Cotton candy, churro's and monster energy drinks - what more could a 13 year old ask for?

We made a trip to Laguna Beach after the party for a quick stop at the consignment store and picked up a few little treasures and then on for an Italian dinner at Jack's. I managed to make a mess of myself. I already had dots of blue cotton candy on my white shirt and then added to it with a little bolognese sauce...oh well what are you going to do?

It's cooled off this evening and the windows are open and the a/c is off. Time to kick off the flip flops and call it a day.

Ok do tell, where did you get the cotton candy from? I was just there and didn't see any. I would have gotten some for sure! YUM!

Looks like you had fun.

I'm thrilled you would like to meet up for lunch or tea. What days are best for you? Week days or weekends?

Hugs,
Joanne

HEY ERIN!!
Know what you mean about those comments! Looked at your beach and knew where you were from! Ok... I love cotton candy too and I ALSO make this incredible mess! But what fun is cotton candy and how special would it be it you didn't??
I love the fact that you can open up your windows at home! Wish we could more here!
Have an awesome day! We are going to be blessed with sunshine and heat here in Georgia!

Erin,

Thanks so much for your comments on my house over at Rhoda's. I want to return the compliment. Looks like you're off to a good start on your blog. I wish I could get mine going. I have been computerless since mine blew up (lap top issues), and now I'm on a friend's. Maybe some day. In the mean time, I can enjoy yours.

I love the beach, too!

Hi Erin - we haven't met, but I saw your comment over on Flea Market Queen's blog.

I went to the Irvine Flea Market this past Sunday. I hadn't been in 2 months. Stop by my blog and take a look at the vintage ceiling tile I bought. It's a large one that's cream with green peeling paint and all rusty. LOVE IT!

So tell me . . . what's Peddler's???? Is it in O.C. as well? Could there actually be a place I haven't heard about or been to? LOL
